OTLLP Attorney Michael McIlhinney Honored with Harris Ominsky Award

Orphanides & Toner LLP real estate attorney Michael P. McIlhinney received the Harris Ominsky Award at the Philadelphia Bar Association’s (PBA) Real Property Section’s Annual Meeting on November 30, 2022. The Harris Ominsky award is presented to a pre-eminent real estate attorney who practices, or has practiced, law in Philadelphia.

Mr. McIlhinney has extensive experience in handling real estate matters from litigation to commercial real estate transactions. Mr. McIlhinney concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate development, zoning and land use, condominium and planned community law, and litigation with an emphasis on abandoned property actions, deed fraud and quiet title actions, negligent construction, and failure to disclose litigation. Mr. McIlhinney is an expert in Pennsylvania’s Conservatorship law known as the Abandoned and Blighted Property Conservatorship Act (commonly known as Act 135) which has been instrumental in remediating abandoned properties in Philadelphia and returning them to the tax rolls and to productive use. In addition to litigation in the trial division, he also has extensive experience litigating matters in Orphans’ Court.

Mr. McIlhinney is active in the PBA, and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section.
